TRIKPOS.COM, PALEMBANG- Gubernur Sumsel H. Herman Deru secara resmi membuka kejuaraan Bulutangkis Palembang Cup III Tahun 2022 se-Sumsel di GOR Dempo Jakabaring, Selasa (29/11) pagi.

Ia optimis melalui kejuaraan tersebut akan lahir Ahsan dan Rudi Hartono (pemain dunia asli Indonesia) dari Bumi Sriwijaya.

Dalam kesempatan itu Gubernur Sumsel H. Herman mengapresiasi panitia yang berinisiatif menyelenggarakan turnamen. Sebab adanya turnamen ini diyakininya akan dapat menjaring bibit-bibit atlet  berprestasi.

Penjaringan bibit dengan cara ini juga diapresiasi nya karena melibatkan seluruh peserta dari penjuru Sumsel di 17  Kab/kota.

“Semoga lahir Ahsan-Ahsan (Pemain Ganda Putra dunia asal Indonesia) dan Rudi Hartono (pemain bulutangkis dunia asli Indonesia) dari sini sehingga bisa mempertahankan citra Indonesia sebagai juaranya bulutangkis dunia,” ujar Herman Deru.

Lebih jauh Ia menyampaikan ucapan  berterima kasihnya  kepada pihak penyelenggara. Apalagi melihat antusias yang cukup tinggi mecapai  600 orang peserta dari berbagai kategori mulai dari pradini, anak-anak, remaja dan dewasa yang ikut berpartisipasi

“Selamat mengikuti dengan penuh sportivitas, junjung tinggi sportivitas dan raihlah prestasi setinggi-tingginya, sukses penyelenggaraan akan lebih membanggakan jika didukung kesuksesan prestasi,” jelasnya.

Sementara itu, Ketua Umum PBSI Kota Palembang, Ratu Dewa mengatakan, kegiatan turnamen ini akan dimulai pada 29 November 2022 hingga 4 Desember mendatang. Kejuaraan ini digelar dengan berbagai kategori bagi seluruh atlet dari 17 Kabupaten/kota.

“Terimakasih karena telah memberikan kepercayaan Saya menjadi Ketua PBSI Palembang periode 2022-2026. Ini adalah turnamen pertama pada masa bakti kami terima kasih pada PBSI Kota Palembang dan Provinsi yang telah bekerja keras hingga terlaksananya event ini,” jelasnya.

Ratu Dewa mengatakan pihaknya akan terus mendorong event-event serupa di tingkat kelurahan dan kecamatan hingga Provinsi agar dapat memberikan energi positif dan semangat juang bagi para atlet di masa mendatang.

Untuk menambah semangat bagi para peserta, panitia mendatangkan langsung dua atlet ternama yakni Mohammad Ahsan (ganda putra dunia) dan Bellaetrix Manuputty (pemain tunggal putri).

Adapun pembukaan tersebut ditandai devile dari 17 kab/kota dilanjutkan dengan pemukulan cock oleh Gubernur Sumsel H. Herman Deru didampingi Ketua PBSI Kota Palembang Ratu Dewa dan sejumlah pejabat lainnya.
